# Resuming Monitor

> Resume a paused monitor so it scores production sessions again.

## Returns

Returns the resumed [Monitor](/concepts/product/monitor).

The monitor scores only the sessions that close after the resume.

Resuming works from any status. Resuming a monitor that is already active returns it unchanged. If
its monthly credit cap is used up or the organization is out of credits, the next scan sets `CAPPED`
or `NO_CREDITS` again.

The API refuses the call when the monitor does not exist or you cannot edit it.

resumed_monitor = galtea.monitors.resume(monitor.id)
```
